Terms of use

Last updated 24 October 2026

The short version: Gratia is yours to use for your own mornings. Plus is a subscription through your Apple ID, and you can cancel it there any time.

Who we are

Gratia is provided by Gratia Holdings Limited, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC903958). “We” in these terms means that company.

Using Gratia

Gratia is a place to write down what you are grateful for and to look back at it. It is yours to use for as long as you keep to these terms. You must be 18 or over to use it. Do not use it to break the law or to harm anyone.

It is not medical care

Gratia is not a doctor, a therapist or a crisis service. Nothing in it is medical advice. If you are struggling, please talk to a professional or your local emergency service.

Your account

Keep access to your account to yourself, including the email you sign in with. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can close it at any time in Settings, which deletes everything in it. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why.

Gratia Plus

Plus is a weekly or yearly subscription bought through your Apple ID. The current local price and billing period are shown before purchase. Any introductory offer is subject to Apple’s eligibility rules and purchase confirmation. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.

What you write

Your entries are yours. We claim nothing over them. They are encrypted on your phone, we don't read them, and we only use them to show them back to you, or to send them to Saga when you ask for a reading. Our privacy policy explains how they are looked after.

Saga

Saga's readings are written by AI from what you wrote. They can be wrong, and they are reflections, not advice. Please don't rely on them for decisions about your health, money or relationships.

Friends

Choose a name and @username that are yours to use. Don't pretend to be someone else, or to be Gratia, and don't use names that are offensive. We may change or remove a username that breaks this.

Where we stand

Gratia is provided as it is. We keep it working as well as we can, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable or never lose anything, so please do not treat it as your only copy — the export button is there for that.

Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under consumer law, or limits our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

If you got Gratia from the App Store, Apple's standard licence for apps also applies. Apple isn't responsible for Gratia or its support, and you can ask Apple for a refund if a purchase didn't work.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you may also be able to bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.

Changes

If these terms change we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. Questions to hello@gratiaapp.uk.
